Tasting Climate Change in Rhône Valley
Climate change is without a doubt affecting all wine regions. However, the Rhône Valley has the advantage to have many assets which help producers to adapt to the challenges brought by climate change.
In this conference, Michelle Bouffard, founder of TASTING CLIMATE CHANGETM, talks about what Côtes du Rhône is doing to adapt and mitigate climate change. Michelle spent a lot of time in the region over the last decade and had the chance to discuss many of the important issues with producers as well as with research centres such as l’Institut Rhodanien and Institut des Sciences de la Vigne.
Ongoing research and development, agroforestry, rootstocks, grape varieties, soil health, water management, biodiversity and packaging are some of the topics being discussed.
